TERM 2: Create Your Own Findings (1-5 May) | Term Two, 2023

Findings are the clasps, hooks and other attachments on jewellery. Jewellery makers often fall back on using pre-manufactured findings, but this class will give you the confidence to make everything yourself, making your jewellery completely and uniquely yours.
Learn to incorporate findings into your designs, and find the best methods to connect, hang, close and secure your jewellery pieces.
Suitable for all students with basic jewellery skills.

Students will be given opportunities to design and make different types of findings, either as test pieces or for specific work.
Learn about weight, balance, and how best to complement and refine your jewellery design.
The focus is on experimentation and samples rather than completed pieces of jewellery.
