Beginner Ring Making and Stone Setting
Tuesdays, 7 May to 18 June, from 6 to 9 PM ($350 for 7 sessions)
with Creative Expert, Lisa Sinclair
On your first night, take home a textured copper ring, made with your very own hands! With guidance in a small, supportive environment, you'll master specialist silver-smithing techniques, including creating settings for cabochon stones. What is a cabochon you may ask? Well, a cabochon (pronounced cab-uh-shon), is a domed stone that has been shaped and polished, rather than faceted.

Exploring Drypoint and Monotype Printing
Tuesdays, 7 May to 18 June, from 6 to 9 PM ($330 for 7 sessions)

Dive into this fun, supportive and experimental class that will explore mark-making, layering and colour, using drypoint and monotype print techniques.
Create an experimental body of work worthy of display in your home, office, or studio. Your work will highlight your interests and extend your understanding of mark-making, core drivers, colour theory, layering, and printmaking techniques.

Oamaru Stone Carving
Tuesdays, 7 May to 18 June, from 6 to 9 PM ($450 for 7 sessions)

Get a hands-on introduction to Oamaru stone carving and make your own small stone sculptures, in a supportive small class environment.
Each student will leave with up to 3 finished carvings. Students will be able to take home unfinished work.

Ceramics Intermediate +

Work on projects of your own choice in an open studio style environment, with guidance and technical support from the tutor. This class is ideal for people with some prior experience of working with clay who wish to further explore their creative practice. Emphasis will be placed on creating pieces that align with your personal areas of interest.

Draw, Colour, and Paint!
Thursdays, 9 May to 20 June, from 6 to 9 PM ($330 for 7 sessions)
with Creative Expert, Alina Gane-Hurcomb
Anyone can learn to draw and paint. Be part of a fun and supportive environment (often filled with music) where you can learn to draw and paint or work on your own 2D projects with the help of a tutor.
Each student will leave with a series of works in a variety of media including, but not limited to, charcoal, graphite, soft pastels and acrylics. You will also leave with an understanding of observational artistry techniques.

Intermediate Jewellery Making with Seaglass

Clay for Beginners

Relax and get grounded with clay.
In this evening class you will learn some simple hand building techniques which will enable you to create your own bowls, cups and sculptural forms alike. We will also explore some simple but effective techniques to add interesting textural and coloured surfaces to your creations without the need to have a deep understanding of glazing.
