Kids Holiday Art Programme

Term 4 2019 Kids Art Classes

After school classes run Monday 6 - 9 year olds, Wednesday 7 - 12 year olds and Thursday 9 -14 year olds

Hours: 3.30 - 5.30pm

  • Monday classes run from 14 October to 9 December (N.B. no class on 28th Oct - Labour Day)
    (total of 8 sessions) 
    Ages from 6 to 9 years

  • Wednesday classes run from 16 October to 11 December 
    (total of 9 sessions) 
    Ages from 7 to 12 years
  • Thursday classes run from 17 October to 12 December 
    (total of 9 sessions)
    Ages from 9 to 14 years

Content - Monday and Thursday Classes

Our Monday and Thursday classes provide a wide range of interesting and fun projects for kids. Each term is different and tailored to fit the needs and interests of the current students.

Content - Wednesday Classes

These classes offer kids a range of interesting, challenging drawing and painting projects to complete. Each week, kids will learn new skills, gain confidence and have loads of fun with our talented and dedicated tutor.

Techniques may include, but are not limited to:

  • Blind contour drawings
  • Tonal studies
  • Shading techniques
  • Varied brushes and alternatives
  • Reactions to music and words
  • Enlarging and minimizing the subject


Subjects/styles covered may include, but are not limited to:

  • Observational drawing
  • Portraiture
  • Abstraction
  • Cartoons
  • Looking at famous paintings and adapting the style or subject of the painting

Outcomes for all classes

These classes run for a full term and students work either in groups or individually, guided by our talented and dedicated kids’ class tutors. Students also have the opportunity to exhibit their work at our end of term exhibition.

Students will experiment with a variety of different mediums and techniques and find creative applications which connect with their own experience. Our classes aim to build self-confidence, develop skills in creative thinking, experimentation, spontaneity and help students find their own creative voice.

Maximum number of students per class: 15
Cost to student:
Monday class (8 weeks) of 2-hour classes - $90 + $30 materials fee
Wednesday class (9 weeks) of 2-hour classes - $100 + $30 materials fee
Thursday class (9 weeks) of 2-hour classes - $100 + $30 materials fee
