Creative Art Classes for Kids - Term 1 2017
9th February - 13th April 2017
Monday class: 3.30pm - 5.30pm (for 7-9 year olds)
Thursday class: 3.30pm - 5.30pm (for 9-14 year olds)
Our Creative Art Classes for Kids are run from our vibrant Taita campus and provide kids with an authentic, hands-on art school experience in a safe and creative environment.
Our classes provide a wide range of interesting and fun projects for kids. Each term is different and tailored to fit the needs and interests of the current students.
Weekly classes can include, but are not limited to:
• Canvas art
• Stop-motion animation
• Clay and pottery
• Marble painting
• Environmental art
• Special FX makeup
• 3D junk sculptures
• Papier mache puppets
• Splatter painting
• Miniatures/model making
These classes run for a full term and students work either in groups or individually, guided by our talented and dedicated kids’ class tutors. Students also have the opportunity to exhibit their work at our end of term exhibition.
Places are limited to 15 children per class.
Students will experiment with a variety of different mediums and techniques and find creative applications which connect with their own experience. Our classes aim to build self-confidence, develop skills in creative thinking, experimentation, spontaneity and help students find their own creative voice.
Required materials: Provided in class.
Maximum number of students per class: 15
Cost to student:
Monday class (9 weeks) of 2-hour classes - $100 for new students; $90 for returning students.
(Please note, there is no class on Waitangi Day - 6th February)
Thursday class (10 weeks) of 2-hour classes - $110 for new students; $100 for returning students.
