About the Tutor: 

Marci Tackett is a Printmaker who has lived and worked in New Zealand since 2006. Marci has been teaching printmaking at The Learning Connexion in Lower Hutt for over 16 years. She was born in Denver, Colorado and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Colorado. Her work has been displayed in exhibitions around the world and in 2019, 2020 and 2022 she was a finalist for the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award.

Class Description:

Dive into a world of colours and shapes with printmaking. Get ready to have a blast with this fuss-free process that can be enjoyed with or without a press!

Create captivating monoprints by layering ink on plastic sheets, adding torn paper shapes, and transferring the design to paper using various methods or tools. This dynamic process is repeated two more times on the same sheet, allowing for artistic refinement through editing and cropping, resulting in stunning finished pieces.
