Creativity Challenge 2015 - From Te Po - The Darkness, to Te Aro Marama - The World of Light

This year in April the TLC Educational Trust hosted a Creativity Challenge. The theme of the conference was 'Crossing Boundaries'. It attracted a wealth of national and international speakers - the movers and shakers of creativity. Each speaker generously shared their own unique insights and perspectives. We recorded these talks so that we could share them with our students, friends, stakeholders and anyone else interested in the subject of creativity. 

About Lillian Hetet:
Lillian Hetet works as a writer, web designer and convenor of cultural conversations. Her current projects include writing a memoir and making a film about the lifelong creative collaboration of her artist parents.

About The Talk:
What happens when artisans from different cultures attempt to work creatively together? The power of creativity to act as a common language across cultures is not necessarily a given. Other factors must be in place for success. A series of case studies from Aotearoa New Zealand illustrate the things that can go gut-wrenchingly wrong and how to ensure that things go beautifully right instead.

    What a wonderful talk, I learned much and so enjoyed it. Thank you.
    I would have loved to share it on Facebook, especially to a friend who is marrying a precious Maori man she wished to give a cloak to as a wedding gift. I think they both would have loved to see this video but its privacy settings would not allow me to do so.
