‘Toastman’, and friend of The Learning Connexion, Maurice Bennett, sadly passed away on Monday.
Maurice was known to all and sundry as ‘The Toastman’, because his art of choice was to create portraits and billboards from toasted bread of various shades.

Artist and TLC Diploma of Art and Creativity (Advanced) graduate, Jane Toy, exhibited work recently at the Fine Arts Whanganui Gallery on Taupo Quay. Her exhibition is entitled ‘Threads’ and will be on show for at least a month. Check it out if you’re in the area.
