To enter the New Zealand Diploma in Creativity (Level 6) directly, your portfolio should contain:

At least six well-developed works with supporting evidence of creative process, i.e. drawings, photographs, visual diaries/sketchbooks/journals. This work should demonstrate diverse exploration of media and processes and the emergence of a personal style.

The six well-developed works that you submit should show your own practice in at least two of the areas listed below, or the equivalent:

  • Drawing

  • Painting

  • Photography

  • 3D

  • Design

  • Or equivalent, e.g. film, textiles, digital media

In addition, your portfolio will include a statement of creative intention detailing your reasons for seeking RPL, evidence of achievement in other relevant qualifications, and any examples that you may have of professional practice, i.e. exhibition history, relevant work experience, or creative interaction with your community.

In order to be approved entry at level 6 you will need to show, through your portfolio, that you have completed the requirements/or equivalent, of the New Zealand Diploma in Creativity (Level 5). Evidence presented must demonstrate sufficient ability to achieve completion at the qualification level being applied for.
