Bronze Pour Demonstration
Watch as molten bronze transforms into stunning works of art right before your eyes! Our Bronze Pour demonstrations showcase the skill, precision, and creativity involved in this ancient art form, giving visitors a unique insight into the casting process from start to finish.
Whether you’re an aspiring artist, a student curious about our creative courses, or simply looking for something inspiring to see, the Bronze Pour is a highlight you won’t want to miss. See, feel, and learn about the energy and artistry that goes into every bronze piece - live at TLC.
Student Market Stalls
Support emerging artists!
Explore the creativity of our students at our Christmas Market stalls this November! Our student market stalls are packed with unique, handmade artworks, and creations that reflect the incredible talent and skill of our TLC community.
From original paintings, photography and prints to jewellery, ceramics, and mixed media pieces, there’s something for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to support emerging artists, chat with the creators themselves, and take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
Come along, browse, and be inspired by the diverse creativity of our TLC students!
LAB Gallery
While you’re here for our Open Day, make sure to step into the LAB Gallery for a special exhibition by our Level 7 Diploma of Art & Creativity (Advanced) students. This showcase highlights the incredible depth, skill, and originality of our advanced learners as they present their latest bodies of work across a wide range of media and styles.
Right next door, our Gallery Shop will also be open, offering a curated selection of artwork, prints, jewellery, and gifts created by our TLC community. It’s the perfect chance to experience cutting-edge creativity and maybe even take a little piece of it home.
Kids' Creative Space
Bring the whānau along and let the little ones join in the fun! Our Kids’ Space will be set up with creative activities designed to spark imagination and play. Children can try their hand at simple art projects, explore different materials, and enjoy a taste of the creativity that thrives at TLC.
You’ll also get the chance to see the space where our Kids Holiday Programme is held, along with our Home School class and Term after-school classes.
It’s a welcoming, hands-on area where kids can get messy, make something special to take home, and discover just how fun art can be. Perfect for keeping young minds engaged while the rest of the whānau enjoys the Open Day!
Rent-a-Bench in Jewellery & Printmaking
Curious about taking your creative practice further? At our Open Day you can explore our Rent-a-Bench spaces in both Jewellery and Printmaking. These fully equipped dedicated studio spaces give you the freedom to work independently while still being part of TLC’s vibrant creative community.
Rent-a-Bench is perfect for experienced jewellers and printmakers who want access to specialist equipment, a professional environment, and the support of like-minded creatives - without the need to set up a full studio at home.
Come and see the facilities, chat with our team, and find out how Rent-a-Bench can give your art practice the space to grow.
