Stop #10 at The Learning Connexion

Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 October, 10am – 4pm

Come and experience creativity in action at The Learning Connexion, proud to be Stop #10 on this year’s Lower Hutt Art Trail.

Wander through our vibrant art school campus, meet our talented artists, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how creativity comes to life.

What’s happening at TLC: Ceramics

As part of the Lower Hutt Art Trail, TLC opens its doors to visitors to experience the energy of our working studios. Meet our talented TLC artists and explore a wide range of practices including ceramics, jewellery, dry media, painting, and printmaking.
Watch creativity in action, chat with artists about their processes, and be inspired by the vibrant, hands-on atmosphere that makes TLC a cornerstone of the local art community. Work will be available for sale, via cash or internet banking.
Visit our on-site Gallery to see exhibitions of student work.

Whether you're a fellow artist, an art lover, or just curious – all are welcome!

LAB Gallery:
Louis Mikaere

We are excited to host an exhibition by artist Louis Mikaere in the LAB Gallery at The Learning Connexion.

Louis’ art is deeply influenced by his culture and the lessons passed down through generations. He draws inspiration from the natural world, especially birds as symbols of freedom, guidance and connection. Through each piece, he aims to carry forward these traditions while sharing their beauty and meaning in a modern way. Old ways to tell new stories.

Louis hopes to inspire future generations through his own lens.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Louis’s powerful work up close throughout the Lower Hutt Art Trail at TLC's own LAB Gallery.
