The Learning Connexion's Graduation Ceremonies

Graduation 2025

At The Learning Connexion, graduation is one of the most special events of the year – a time when we gather as a community to celebrate the achievements of our students, honour their creativity, and acknowledge the dedication that has brought them to this milestone.

Unfortunately, due to major renovations at our usual venue, we were unable to hold a graduation ceremony in 2025. While we’re disappointed not to have come together in person, our pride in our graduates is as strong as ever.

Celebrating Our Graduates

This year’s graduates have shown remarkable creativity, persistence, and passion. Whether through painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, digital media, sculpture, photography, illustration, drawing or mixed media, each student has contributed their unique voice to our vibrant community. Completing a creative qualification requires courage and commitment, and every graduate has achieved something truly significant.

Looking Ahead

We’re already looking forward to celebrating in style in future years where possible. In the meantime, we encourage our graduates, whānau, and friends to reflect on the incredible work achieved – and to carry the spirit of creativity into the next chapter of their journey.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 – we’re proud of you!

A few words from our Director of Operations, Sharon Hall:

"This is a moment to be proud of - not only for you but for everyone who has supported you along the way on your creative journey. This is a truly special milestone - a reflection of your dedication, creative spirit, and all the effort you put into your studies. It’s a moment to celebrate not just the outcome, but the journey you took to get there, and one that will continue to inspire others.

Whether you’re continuing your studies with us, or heading off to explore new adventures, we hope you carry forward the strong foundation you've built, one grounded in curiosity, creativity, and courage.

One of the core principles in our School Agreement is simple but powerful: look after yourself, look after others, and look after the environment. If this is where we begin, we’re creating something truly meaningful together.

As our founder Jonathan Milne says, stay open to your creativity and enjoy the journey.
Creativity isn’t just about making things - it’s a way of thinking, questioning, connecting, growing and navigating life’s unexpected turns with courage and curiosity. It’s a lifelong companion, and we hope it continues to guide and inspire you wherever life takes you."

Graduation 2024

Our graduation events recognise the hard work and success of our graduands. We celebrate the achievements of our students with their families, friends and whanau.

We hope that as you branch out into the world you sustain your creative practice in whatever way works best for you, and remember the skills, lessons and philosophies you have picked up at The Learning Connexion School of Creativity and Art.

Here are some inspirational words about sustaining creativity from Printmaker and TLC's Artist in Residence Marci Tackett, that we encourage all our graduates to listen to.

Congratulations to all our graduates!
