Learning Support | Te Tautoko Ako

Learning Support is available to help manage learning barriers so you can sustain your creativity. These may include life stresses such as health and well-being. We may be able to help if you’re new to tertiary, returning after a break, or stepping up a level – helping you understand expectations, build study skills, and find your feet.

We support all students – onsite and distance – with:

Study habits and routines
Disability, health and learning differences
Navigating finances and study such as MSD, StudyLink and scholarships
Youth students (under 18)

Our service is free and confidential.

Programme Support

For study related support, that isn’t covered by Learning Support or Admissions, then Programme Support are the best people to talk to.

Programme Support helps ensure your experience at TLC is smooth, organised, and well supported. If you have questions about your course or programme, need information about schedules, locations, or key dates, or require assistance with course administration, Programme Support is available to help. The role also involves sharing important updates with students and supporting facilitators to ensure programmes run smoothly.

Distance students should contact their mentor first with any queries before contacting Programme Support.

Admissions

Our Admissions Team is here to help you with any questions or issues you have when you are enrolling in courses and classes at TLC.
