For over three decades, we’ve been supporting people from all walks of life to unlock their creative potential through hands-on, student-centred learning. Whether you’re beginning your artistic journey or developing an established practice, we provide a supportive environment where curiosity, experimentation, and personal expression are encouraged. TLC is New Zealand’s only education provider fully dedicated to teaching creativity processes and helping students study art in a meaningful, lifelong way.

Our Lower Hutt campus includes fully equipped studios for printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, and hot arts, along with a dedicated creative space for kids’ classes. Our online art courses and Study from Home (Distance Delivery) programme give both national and international students the option to study flexibly, designed to fit around their lifestyle and commitments. We also deliver to learners studying from Corrections facilities.
Our graduates go on to careers in a range of industries, further study, or simply continue to enrich their lives and others through creative practice. Whatever the path, the ability to think creatively remains a powerful and lifelong asset.
