The Learning Connexion (TLC) is honoured to have been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards in the category of Excellence in Service and Support!
This recognition celebrates the heart of what we do – providing high-quality creative education, personalised support, and a nurturing environment where every ākonga can thrive.
Being named a finalist acknowledges the dedication of our kaiako, mentors, and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that students feel guided, encouraged, and empowered throughout their creative journey. At TLC, learning is not just about acquiring skills, it’s about connection, confidence, and the belief that creativity can transform lives. This nomination highlights the impact of that mahi.

A Continued Commitment to Excellence

This is not the first time TLC has been recognised in these prestigious awards! Last year, we were proud to be nominated in the category of Diversity, Inclusion and Growing People – a testament to our ongoing commitment to providing an inclusive, accessible, and supportive learning environment for people from all walks of life.
From our on-campus programmes to our Study from Home option, and through our work in Corrections facilities across Aotearoa, we are committed to nurturing growth, wellbeing, and creative expression in every learning environment. Our kaupapa is grounded in supporting each person to realise their potential while honouring the diverse experiences they bring to our community.
Celebrating Our People
These nominations reflect the collective efforts of everyone at TLC – our students, kaiako, mentors, support teams, and the wider creative community who shape our school every day. We are deeply proud of what we have achieved together and grateful for the opportunity to be acknowledged alongside so many inspiring organisations in the Wellington region.
With Thanks
We extend our warm thanks to the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce for organising the awards and for their ongoing work in supporting, celebrating, and strengthening businesses across the region. Their commitment to fostering a vibrant, resilient business community makes achievements like this possible.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow, innovate, and expand our creative support services, this recognition strengthens our resolve to keep delivering education that changes lives. We extend our thanks to the judges and organisers of the Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards for recognising the value of creative education and the importance of service, inclusion, and community support, and congratulate the other finalists and winners in these categories.
We look forward to celebrating with fellow finalists and continuing our work to inspire creativity across Aotearoa.
