Basic Picture Framing | Term Four, 2020

Learn the skills and techniques of picture framing using professional equipment with tips and advice on how to do this at home with basic tools.
Bring along your artwork or sentimental pieces that you have held off framing, and create your own framing master piece.
Suitable for all levels.

Content

Start with a matt board and finish with completed frames. You will measure and cut your matt to suit your image, then cut and join your frame, cut your glass to shape and then assemble your frame, glass and image ready to hang.
Learn tips and techniques for professional framing to do it yourself style at home.
Learn about materials and costs of picture framing.

Objectives

To create at least one completed picture frame.

One completed framed image ready to hang.
