Shape Shifter Jewellery | Term Two, 2021

A shapeshifter in mythology can shift from human form into animal form.
Most times only once.
This term you'll shift shapes and form from sheet metal, wire, wax or scrap metal into a jewellery piece of art.
Think about the process, document it and make whatever you can design within your skill level.
Suitable for intermediate to advanced students able to do both days.

Content

* Research
* Drawing your designs
* Brainstorming
* Start fabricating
* Help and guidance along the way from tutor and peers

Objectives

Amalgamate as many of the following techniques as you can - casting - (centrifugal or cuttlefish), riveting, fabrication, stone setting, enamelling.
* Creativity Projects you will be able to work towards include but are not limited to -
Level 4 - CP1 Investigate, CP2 Present, CP3 Examine, CP4 Explore
Level 5 - CP1 Challenge, CP2 Synthesise, CP3 Apply, CP4 Identify Patterns
Level 6 - CP1 Initiate, CP2 Analyse Patterns, CP3 Present

Outcomes

Work experience and more knowledge about how to merge different techniques into an exhibition piece.
