Mould, Melt, Cut, Create | Term Two, 2021

Try out one or more methods to create sculptural artwork on a small to medium scale. This class is a great way to explore materials and form while learning to use a variety of tools and techniques. You can model, mix, mould, melt, grind, cut, fuse and fire. Expand and refine your technical skills in one or more subjects.
This class will best suit students with a focus on ceramics or jewellery who may wish to explore creating their own unique mixtures of materials that combine glass, coloured cement and/or ceramic refractory mixtures. These can be cast or fired in a kiln before shaping them in the wet cutting area. You can also explore more traditional casting processes such as lost wax casting for bronze and glass.
Suitable for all levels.
