Design your own tattoos. Explore - cultural significance, research requirements, stylistic variations, inking 2-D designs and how to apply a range of media for colouring purposes.
Please note - this class focuses on the processes involved in designing tattoo art. It won't involve the practise of tattooing as such.
Suitable for all levels.

Content

We will look at the processes involved in how to create a design suitable for tattooing including reference to appropriate mythologies, traditional and contemporary. A variety of drawing, inking and colouring techniques will be tutored to assist you to complete your designs.

Objectives

This class will ultimately provide you with insights into what the requirements are to provide clients with startling, irresistible and dynamic 2-D choices for their tattoos.

Outcomes

* What a tattooist would require for a portfolio of work
* Improved drawing and colouring skills
* Learn how to research and use appropriate referencing
* Finished artwork(s) which will help you on your journey to be a tattoo artist
