About the class

This Makers Week is a hands-on, practical class exploring photography basics, without getting overwhelmed by jargon & technical detail.

We’ll look at how to photograph a wide range of situations and subjects, working on the principle that the best camera is the one you have with you! (A good pair of shoes to go exploring helps too.)

Join us and give your confidence in your photography skills a boost, no matter what type of camera you use.

Course Content:

  • Better understanding of light, what to look for and how to use it.
  • Covering a range of common scenarios
  • Handling your camera
  • Three main settings
  • How a lens ‘sees’ the world
  • Composition (it’s not what you think!)
  • Some camera hacks
