The Learning Connexion provides a pathway of learning which meets the individual needs of each ākonga (student) in an inclusive learning environment.

We offer options for studying on site or learning from home. Our students learn by doing – applying creative art processes with the support of their Creativity Kaiako (mentor) using a blend of directed and independent study. All our art programmes can be completed full-time or part-time.

We also welcome students from all over the world! If you are overseas and want to study in New Zealand, you can find information for  international students here.

Our flexible study options give you the opportunity to develop your artistic and creative skills while meeting your other commitments.

Advantages of On-site study:

  • Study at our thriving campus nestled in the native bush of the Hutt Valley. Our unique, colourful environment is the perfect place to encourage you on your creative art journey!
  • Get access to the wide range of specialist art studios and facilities as well as feedback from peers and Toi Kaiako (Tutors) about your ideas and processes.
  • Every learner will be assigned a Creativty Kaiako who will guide you through your creativity programme
  • You will experience a supportive and creative community than enhances your creativity.
  • Start each term with an intensive creative boost by attending a 3-day Makers Week art class. These cover a range of disciplines and help kickstart your inspiration for the term ahead.
  • You have the opportunity to be involved in student exhibitions held in our onsite ‘Lab Gallery’.
