A new performance art class for children is shaking up ideas about creativity at The Learning Connexion.
Theatre, Art, Go! is a fun new class designed by experienced theatre performer Paja Neuhoferova. In this class, students will be entering a magic world of performance art, including theatre, dance, animation and puppetry. The class is part of The Learning Connexion's popular Kids Art Classes which runs after school each term.
Each class explores different ways to tell stories using a multidisciplinary approach to art making. It is aimed at children aged seven to 12 years old, and will run each Tuesday 3.30 - 5.30pm from 18 May to 6 July.
"Students will learn how to improvise with images, movement and sound through games and creative exercises. They will learn skills in stop motion animation, puppet performance and performance art and will have the opportunity to show their work at an end-of-term art exhibition," says Paja.
Children attending Theatre, Art, Go! will learn to develop confidence in their own creativity and initiative and will learn about emotional well-being, mutual consideration, listening and respect for others.
