Whakakitea (Reveal) - an online exhibition
1 - 25 April 2021
Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will be online from Thursday 1 April until Sunday 25 April. All works will be available for viewing, and many for purchase, via the TLC Art Shop website.
Each term The Learning Connexion School of Creativity and Art hosts a large student-run exhibition of their works at our campus, nestled in the bush in Taita, Hutt Valley.
This term we are heading back online for an entirely digital exhibition entitled Whakakitea / Reveal. In te reo Māori Whakakitea means "reveal" or "make visible". The act of exhibition is in itself an act of revelation - we ask our students to reveal a bit of themselves when they exhibit their work. It can be a challenging proposition for many who are exhibiting for the first time, but for most, it is rewarding, and a vital part of their creative journey.
Opening on Thursday 1 April, Whakakitea / Reveal – celebrates the act of self-revelation through art, and is the first chance in 2021 for our students to share, and sell their work to the wider public.
This time around we are doing sales a bit different, with artwork available for purchase via Shopify on the TLC Art Shop website.
