Susan Knaap
has been with the Learning Connexion for over six years, both as a student
and member of staff. Currently, she works offsite as an extramural tutor and
enjoys encouraging her students to discover the personal meaning within their
art.
"My mission as a tutor is to help students make the connection between the art they create and who they are as a person. Once they make that connection, their art becomes deeply meaningful and endlessly inspiring. That, to me, is true creativity."
Susan is a member of, and regular exhibitor with, the NZ Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington. In 2004 she was a finalist in the International Online Juried Symbolist Art Show and, along with two other artists, represented New Zealand at the 2005 Florence Biennale in Italy.
