Sculpture, Video and Drawing
Art is such a fascinating subject! It can be approached from so many different angles and with an infinite spectrum of materials. From drawing with pencil and paper to environmental sculpture or video, there’s something to inspire everyone.
My approach to tutoring is to equip students with the fundamental skills they require to enable them to pursue and develop their artistic ideas and dreams with confidence. Encouragement to try new things and to be prepared to experiment with different ideas and media, not being afraid to make ‘mistakes’ is an attitude I try to foster in people. When this is put into practice, enjoyment and creative growth and satisfaction are fast-tracked. It’s funny, that for many people, they are convinced they have little or no artistic or creative ability. The reality couldn’t be further from the truth! One of the things that I really enjoy about tutoring at TLC is that I have the ability to help students in a very individual way and to be flexible in my programmes to get the maximum positive outcomes.
My own art practice has and continues to encompass a variety of media and techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture and moving image.
