I’ve had a long-term involvement with TLC, both as a student and a staff member, and I’ve recently shifted into the role of distance-delivery mentor after many years in the AV department. I find that interacting with students and assisting them in their creative explorations is really enjoyable and rewarding, hence my decision to take on the role of mentoring. My love of art and creative enterprise, a growing knowledge of art history, and my own art practice are the skills and passions I bring to the job.
My own artwork is based in painting, moving image (video/film), and 2D mixed media. My work explores surface, abstraction, visual paradox, and the creative “mistake”. I’ve studied art here at the Learning Connexion, and also in The United States and Europe. I first started out in 2000, so have been on an artistic journey for a few years now.
