I came to TLC
in Wellington in 2007 and work both as a distance delivery mentor and onsite
tutor. I've mostly been a painter (my passion is for large scale abstract
oil paintings) and studied at the Canberra School of Art in Australia finishing
in 1996.
Tutoring and mentoring at TLC is fabulous, not only do I get to share all I love about painting, I also get to explore and share other areas of art making that interest me, like performance and installation art, and even crossing the art/craft boundaries using mediums like crochet and re-cycled fashion.
I work part time at TLC and spend the rest of my working week on my own art practice, exhibiting as often as I can and staying active in the art community. Each area of my working life enriches the other!
