Stone, bone and wood carver, and painter (of pictures and murals). I am primarily a carver, a maker of 3-D objects.

I have always carved , when I was young I carved soap and pumice.Now I work with bone and shell (I completed a craft design certificate about 10 years ago), stone, and wood.

I have always drawn, when I was young I used felt pens and student acrylic. Now I work in pen, pencil, pastel, and oil and acrylic paints.

I have always been interested in depicting an iconic, symbolic view of life. My art has always been about creating a personal mythology.My carving and painting allows me to create a world of magic and intrigue, of sparkling images, of motion in static materials, of peace and order, and an ever growing body of work that is a celebration of life.

I am a product of an upbringing steeped in the arts. My step father was an art lecturer and painter. My father was in live theatre. From this I acquired a love of the arts and crafts.

I grew up in Wellington, always being around musicians, artist and academics. I have always created my self, and most of my qualifications and job experience is in creative disciplines. I am 34 now and am still committed to a life of creativity and self expression.
